Anna loved dolls. She had a big collection of them in her room. She liked to dress them up, comb their hair, and talk to them. She treated them like her friends.

One day, her mother bought her a new doll. It was a porcelain doll with curly blonde hair, blue eyes, and a pink dress. It looked very pretty and delicate. Anna was very happy with her new doll. She named it Lily and put it on her shelf with the other dolls.

That night, Anna went to bed and fell asleep. She had a strange dream. She dreamed that she was in her room, but it was dark and cold. She saw Lily sitting on her shelf, staring at her with a creepy smile. She heard Lily's voice in her head, saying:

"Hello, Anna. I'm your new friend. I want to play with you. Forever."

Anna felt scared and tried to wake up, but she couldn't. She felt paralyzed and helpless. She saw Lily get off the shelf and walk towards her bed. She saw Lily's eyes glow red and her teeth sharpen. She saw Lily's hand reach for her throat.

She screamed and woke up. She realized it was just a nightmare. She looked around her room and saw that everything was normal. She saw Lily sitting on her shelf, looking innocent and harmless. She breathed a sigh of relief and tried to calm down.

She told herself that it was just a bad dream. She told herself that Lily was just a doll. She told herself that dolls can't hurt her.

She closed her eyes and tried to go back to sleep.

She didn't notice that Lily's smile had changed.

She didn't notice that Lily was no longer on her shelf.
